December!

We had a very busy month in December. Here are some of the fun activities we got up to…..

We were very lucky to have the Sam Maguire visit our school. Dublin player Greg McEneaney brought the cup in to show all the students. He also answered some questions from the students about his training and love of GAA. We even got to see the Sam Maguire cup up close!

The children did a great job with all of the Christmas art they created. We worked with chalk pastels to create these Christmas Fairy Lights. We talked about using different colours to shade in the lights and make it look like they were turned on. We used these to decorate the classroom. Here are some pictures of the process and the results…..

We played lots of Christmas themed Maths games. These games helped us use our Maths skills. We had a lot of fun with these.

The children once again used their creativity to decorate gingerbread men. They had so much fun making these as a special treat before Christmas. They turned out great and looked delicious too!

Just before we finished up for Christmas we had a PJ and Popcorn day! We watched a Christmas movie and were treated to hot chocolate and popcorn. It was a super fun day. To finish off the week we played lots of Christmas games.

We had so much fun in December, it was great to see everyone enjoy themselves during this busy month. I am excited to start 2024 and continue all the fun learning!
