Science Week in Room 2

We have had a week full of science experiments here in Room 2.

For our first experiment we investigated how to make raisins dance! When we put the raisins in still water nothing happened but when we put them into sparkling water they started to jump up and dance around.

For our second experiment we made Oobleck. The children all worked so well together as a team to mix it up and create the Oobleck.

Of course, once we finished making the Oobleck we went outside to play with it. We were amazed that it was solid in our hands but turned back into a liquid once we let go of it.

We also had a paper airplane competition. Well done to Cara, Jaccob and Dovydas who’s paper airplanes flew the furthest in our classroom.

Congratulations to Jaccob and Dovydas! Their airplanes came in 1st and 2nd place when they battled the other winners from different first classes!
