Signs of Autumn

We have spent a lot of time in class looking at the signs of Autumn. We created Autumn tree art, which was inspired by the leaves we gathered on a nature walk around the school. The children explored mark making using cotton buds to create these wonderful paintings. We created leaf rubbings using the leaves gathered.

We also learned about animals that hibernate, and created “Spikey the Hedgehog” art. The class did a great job creating the spikey hedgehogs!

We have also planted daffodil bulbs which we will take care of and water over the next few months. We are excited to see them flower in Spring.

The children have also been working hard on their “Autumn Busy Books”. They have completed lots of activities in these books over the last few weeks.
