Nature walks and Autumn art

We have been learning all about Autumn these past few weeks. First, we discussed signs of Autumn and then we went on a nature walk to hunt for some signs of Autumn ourselves around the school. We did such a good job at collecting Autumnal items such as leaves, twigs, conkers, pinecones, acorns and berries. Once we had collected all of our items we set up our nature table so we could display all the signs of Autumn in our classroom.

We have also been doing lots of fun Autumn art. Last week, we made Autumn trees using Autumn colours. We used our finger tips and paint to create Autumn leaves falling from the trees. Look at how great they turned out!

This week we learned about animals that are preparing to hibernate. We then worked with clay to create our very own Autumn hedgehogs. We had a blast working with clay for art this week!
